What are the subfloor requirements for my Styla tub?

The tub installation instructions don't say anything about the subfloor requirements, or setting the tub in mud. I'm getting feedback from professionals that I shouldn't just set the tub on my existing subfloor (even though it is sound). I've been told that the only tubs that don't set in mud are those with foam attached. I see this tub has wooden slats that it sits on. What do you recommend I do? I'm thinking about adding a layer of cement board...

Hi Ed,

Thank you for your question about the Styla Acrylic with Innovex Technology Bathtub. We recommend installing this unit on a Plywood or cement subfloor.

Thanks,

Do all delta tub faucets have the same size allen wrench set screw cover?

Topics: Features
Hi sally,

Thanks for your question! Not all of our tub faucets use the same size allen wrench.

This part (RP52384) uses a 3/32 allen wrench.

Thanks,

What is the difference between RP32527 and RP50390 replacement hoses?

Hi Ken,

Thanks for your question! Delta Faucet model # RP32527 is 59 inches long and RP50390 is 54 inches long. Also, RP50390 is for DST models and RP32527 is for non-DST.

Hope this information is helpful,

RP32527 vs. RP44647

What is the difference between RP32527 vs. RP44647? I need to replace the hose assembly on my pull out kitchen faucet - I think the model is 470 or 472. Will either or both of the above hose assemblies work?
Topics: Assembly
Hi Jeri,

Thanks for your question! They both work on the 470 & 472. The RP32527 was the original hose for the 470 and 472.

Hope this helps,

Difference between T17238 and T17T238

It looks like both these showers have independent volume and temperature control. What's the difference?
Topics: Features
Hi Arvind,

Thanks for contacting us. The difference between the T17238 and the T17T238 is the cartridge that goes in the wall. The T17T238 is a thermostatic unit and has an all brass cartridge. The T17238 is not thermostatic.

Thermostatic meaning, if someone was to flush the toilet or turn water on elsewhere in the house, the set tempature would stay at that tempature. On the non-thermostatic, you would feel a difference in the temperature.

Hi French38,

Unfortunately, we do not manufacture a knob style handle in solid white. I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

I like the shower faucets mandolin but I want to balance pressure. Is it possible?

Hi Pegeseyu,

Thank you for your interest in Delta Faucet Company products.

At this time, we do not make a shower faucet in the Mandolin collection.

However, all of our shower faucets with the exception of models beginning with T17T are pressure balance units.

I hope this information is helpful.

Instruction manual available?

I have the Quick Start Guide but that doesn't cover how to actually use the faucet (i.e., which part to touch, does the handle stay open or closed in order for touch to work, etc.). The faucet was installed a few days ago by a professional plumber and even he didn't know how to work it. An instruction manual would be terrific.

Why has my single handle kitchen faucet begun producing hot water when the lever is on cold?

The faucet is turned all the way to cold but produces hot water for about 20 seconds and then goes back to cold. Is there a correction for this? The faucet is barely 2 yrs old.
Topics: Performance
Hi Kathy,

I am sorry to hear about the trouble that you are having with your faucet.

It sounds like you are experiencing cross flow. This is typically caused by something in your household plumbing allowing hot water to pass through to the cold supply.
